The Deep Voiced Knight
# Posted by Joel Dixon at 04/08/2008 22:56:05I saw The Dark Knight on the weekend and enjoyed it muchly. It goes without saying that Heath Ledger's contribution was incredible. One small aspect of his performance that I didn't expect when going in was his portrayal of the Joker's voice - it was a pleasant surprise. Christian Bale's take on Batman's "man voice" however - was very distracting.
Looks like I'm not the only one to think this - nor the most eloquent. One of the blogs I read hosted a mock interview with the caped crusader recently - which sums up my feelings quite well.

i was a little concerned that ledgers supposed performance was hyped because of his death...but after seeing it, that man is incredible. the 15-20 min scene when he's in prison is outstanding. wish he could be in another. also distracting was the fact that you try and picture ledger as the joker, but it was hard...great makeup. # Posted - 12/08/2008 12:28:43 |

haha - why did delta cut her hair? i actually dont mind bale as batman...well, actually, he's a very good bruce wayne. apparently johnny depp may be the ridler in the next film, and maybe philip seymour hoffman for the penguin. personally, i would get the penguin from billy maddison. penguin... You're right - Christian Bale is a good Bruce Wayne - and if he toned down the scary voice he'd be a good enough Batman. Johnny Deep would be a great Riddler - though it's gotta be a hard character to play. There's rumors Angelina Jolie will be the next Catwoman - yes please!
