What a waste
# Posted by Joel Dixon at 03/01/2005 03:24:00Apparantly we had a blackout this afternoon while I was watching The Incredibles.
Damn! My linux box was up to around 110 days of uptime, something I would have never been able to achieve on my Windows PC. My highest before this point was around 20 or so days.
Current uptime: 1 hour 56 minutes.
Guess you've got to start somewhere!

I've actually been looking into UPSs - but I probably won't buy one until I move out later this year. It's not just power I have to worry about - today I made a stupid programming bug in my PHP code - sent my server off in an infinite loop. * another reboot * I should remember to refrain from coding while drinking!  # Posted - 09/01/2005 21:22:00 |

U haven't said what win version u use, but my pentium3 with XP SP2 installed worked just fine after about 2 months uptime, but don't get me wrog, i still think linux is better, it's just that i never had the time, to get to know it well enough. # Posted - 17/08/2008 13:10:51 |

I'm not 100% sure - I may have still been using Windows 98 back then (very old computer). I'm on Windows XP SP2 now though - and hopefully for a while. My wife has Vista - and I'm not too impressed. # Posted - 19/08/2008 00:43:02 |
