A couple of my other favourites: Dick In A Box I think it should be obvious what the censored word is Another favourite is Lazy Sunday, but as the NBC site doesn't work in Australia - here's something completely different: The Count Censored # Posted in the General section and tagged as: Funny Wednesday, November 05, 2008Street Fighter: The Later Years# Posted by Joel Dixon at 05/11/2008 20:25:40If you're a fan of the old school Street Fighter series of games you may get a kick out of a College Humor video series entitled Street Fighter: The Later Years. Pretty funny, a nice walk down memory lane and surprisingly good production values considering. Here's the first episode: Street Fighter: The Later Years It's a series of 9 short episodes, so it's worth watching a couple so you can see your favourite character. # Posted in the Gaming section and tagged as: Web Friday, October 31, 2008Stop looking at me, swan!# Posted by Joel Dixon at 31/10/2008 19:58:07My last balloon animal, Necky, needed a friend. Enter Swanana: ![]() I admit, my hand is strategically placed here to ensure the swan's head is pointed down I had a spare blue balloon - so I have the Swan a lake to play in. I think I'll have to start looking for patterns for making a penguin. # Posted in the General section Sunday, October 26, 2008Trivial# Posted by Joel Dixon at 26/10/2008 14:35:37Last night I attended a trivia night for my old primary school. Our table won the night (which was fun - as I've never been part of a winning team before) and everyone seemed to have fun. I often take a relaxed approach to these kinds of events. I will generally stay quiet and let other people answer most of the questions - only piping up if I'm sure about the answer. I don't know why - but during the "TV & Movies" round I changed my approach slightly. The question was "". I think I was buoyed from getting a couple of answers right the previous round, so before the music had even started playing I stood up and said to the whole table "Mork & Mindy. And it was a spin-off from Happy Days." I didn't know why I would even try to guess without hearing the music, so I sat back down to a few odd looks. The light 80's-style music starts to play and people are guessing various shows like Dallas etc. After about 20 seconds I start to think that the music may actually have been from Mork & Mindy, so I reiterated my guess. We ended up going with it - and sure enough, I was right (to much high-fiving). For those that don't remember the show's opening - here's a YouTube. The bit of the music that they played starts at 0:47 into the clip. Enjoy. Yumsy! Apparently the Outback Steakhouse, an Australian-themed restaurant, invented the dish. This is a little odd - as I'm pretty sure it's not an Australian dish. Either way - I'm keeping an eye out for some onions in bloom! # Posted in the General section Sunday, September 21, 2008Not Will Ferrell Trivia# Posted by Joel Dixon at 21/09/2008 10:08:53Updated by Joel Dixon at 19/02/2009 22:20:49 - youtube video taken down - linked original source Another reason I like Will Ferrell: Will Ferrell Answers Your Internet Questions # Posted in the General section and tagged as: Funny, Web Wednesday, August 27, 2008Timmy didn't think about the Mini-Feed# Posted by Joel Dixon at 27/08/2008 21:01:43Actual screenshot of one of my Facebook friend's Mini-Feed (I've changed the names to "Timmy" to protect the horny): ![]() Either my 15-year-old self borrowed Timmy's PC when he wasn't looking - or Timmy was bored a few nights ago and went trawling for Facebook funbags. It goes without saying that Heath Ledger's contribution was incredible. One small aspect of his performance that I didn't expect when going in was his portrayal of the Joker's voice - it was a pleasant surprise. Christian Bale's take on Batman's "man voice" however - was very distracting. Looks like I'm not the only one to think this - nor the most eloquent. One of the blogs I read hosted a mock interview with the caped crusader recently - which sums up my feelings quite well. Indeed. # Posted in the General section and tagged as: Movies Sunday, August 03, 2008Jonathan Roy charged with assault# Posted by Joel Dixon at 03/08/2008 11:19:37As mention in an earlier post, Jonathan Roy - son of hall-of-fame goaltender Patrick Roy - basically assaulted Bobby Nadeau in a very one-sided hockey fight. Looks like someone over there's doing something right - as Jonathan's just been charged with assault. I'd be surprised if he's faced with jail time, but it's good to the authorities are making a stand on this one. Incidents like this give hockey an bad name - which it doesn't always deserve. # Posted in the Hockey section Next Page | Blog Search Recent Blogs Log o' cats I'm number 1!
